FULLY INTEGRATED AND AGILE IN-HOUSE DEVELOPMENT AND CONSTRUCTION TEAMS ENSURE GEMLIFE CONSISTENTLY DELIVERS OVER-50S LIFESTYLE RESORTS OF THE HIGHEST STANDARDS.

From project development, construction management, and residential design through to civil, commercial, and residential construction, which includes estimating, building of homes and post-construction support, teamwork brings the dream alive at GemLife.

GemLife Director & CEO Adrian Puljich said one of the biggest advantages of being an end-to-end developer was having everyone on the same page from the very beginning of a project.

“Our people understand our product inside and out and we’re all pulling together to get the best possible offering to the market for our over-50s buyers,” he said.

“The GemLife team has a passion for the sector, and we are committed to delivering communities of the highest quality. And because GemLife continues to manage the resorts after they’re settled, we take full accountability to maintain high standards in the long term. That gives people peace-of-mind knowing they’re dealing with one company from beginning to end.”

GemLife National Construction Manager James Drever, who has worked for both GemLife and sister company Living Gems for more than 11 years, said having flexible and integrated in-house teams meant all departments were working to the same goal from the outset.

“For example, having an in-house residential design and drafting team means we can ensure home designs are practical to build on site. We work closely with the team and there is a level of respect and two-way communication to deliver best-in-show product from all perspectives,” he said.

The building and construction industry has faced unprecedented pressures over the past three years due to COVID-related issues, weather, materials shortages, supply chain delays, and labour shortages.

“It’s been testing times for everyone, and there are news stories every week about companies that have been unable to survive. But despite the consistent battle, GemLife has been able to keep adapting and not only be three steps ahead but ten steps ahead. We have a strong pipeline network,” said James.

He said the Puljich family name played a big part in the company’s success and had helped GemLife weather the pressures endured by the building industry.

“The name has a big influence within the industry thanks to its reputation for quality. Adrian Puljich built this business with the same commitment to quality established by his dad Peter Puljich and today GemLife is a highly regarded player in the over-50s sector,” he said.

“The level of detail and quality at GemLife is what our reputation is built on – it underscores everything, and we will not jeopardise it.

“Our motto is; If it’s not good enough for my family, then it’s not good enough for anyone else’s.

“Adrian gives the team the autonomy and freedom to prove and show new ideas and ways of working. That trust and faith is part of our success.”

Over the past five years, GemLife has grown into a large national developer.

“GemLife has gone from strength to strength, but one thing will always remain the same – we will continue to innovate, aim high, and hold ourselves to the highest standards to deliver a top-quality product to our over-50s buyers,” added Adrian.

“Teamwork really does make the dream work and I am proud of the team we have put together.”
