Pretty in pink GemLife supports breast cancer research

GemLife team with pink bobcat

IN AN EFFORT TO RAISE AWARENESS OF BREAST CANCER, GEMLIFE HAS PARTNERED WITH A CATERPILLAR RENTAL COMPANY, HASTINGS DEERING, TO HAVE ONE OF THEIR CAT FLEET MACHINES PAINTED AN EYE-CATCHING SHADE OF BUBBLEGUM PINK.

The colour pink has always been a symbol of solidarity for those affected by breast cancer, either personally or through family and friends.

GemLife was recently invited to Hastings Deering’s annual breakfast for employees and suppliers to raise funds for the Mater Foundation through their Mater Chicks in Pink program, which provides invaluable support to women diagnosed with breast cancer through practical, personalised services along with hope for the future by investing in breast cancer research. It was at this event where the pink-painted new Cat 299D Compact Track Loader was unveiled.

The event raised more than $20,000 which will be used to make positive, significant and real impact on people who are affected by breast cancer and contribute to the better understanding and treatment of breast cancer through medical research.

GemLife Director & CEO Adrian Puljich commended Hastings Deering on the initiative.

“We have worked closely with the CAT Rental team at Hastings Deering for a while now, and their services have always been top-notch. They have done a fabulous job to raise funds for breast cancer research,” Adrian said.

“GemLife is extremely proud to be a part of this worthy cause.”

The pink bobcat is currently being used on site at GemLife Gold Coast.
