ATTENTION ROCKERS, BODGIES AND WIDGIES, COOLY ROCKS ON IS BACK FOR ANOTHER NOSTALGIA-FUELLED FESTIVAL CELEBRATING THE MOTORS, MUSIC AND LIFESTYLE OF YESTERYEAR.
Taking place between 7 and 11 June, Cooly Rocks On takes over the Coolangatta beachfront between Kirra Hill and Greenmount.
The event features markets, the ever-popular Show ‘N’ Shine vehicle display along with plenty of live music, including a giant outdoor dance floor on the intersection of Griffith and McDonald streets.
One of the highlights is sure to be the officially sanctioned Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest or why not pay tribute to the King yourself at the Elvis Karaoke After Party?
Other artists appearing over the weekend include Issi Dye, Jake and the Cadillacs, Kenny and the Nitro Rockers, Lucky Seven, The Lucky Comets: The Sounds of Bill Hayley, The Pacific Belles, and many more.

The region has hosted a winter nostalgia event since 1985, starting as Wintersun before becoming Cooly Rocks On in 2014. In 2022 the event received a Gold in the Major Festivals and Events category of the Queensland Tourist Awards and a Highly Commended in the same category at the Australian Tourism Awards.
