On the boardwalk! GemLife Palmwoods set to get physical in early 2023

WITH ALL INTRICATE DESIGNING BEHIND THEM AND MONTHS OF HARD WORK ALREADY COMPLETE, GEMLIFE PALMWOODS’ NEW ELEVATED BOARDWALK NEARS ITS FINAL STAGES.

Residents won’t have to wait much longer for their show-stopping new boardwalk, expected to bring out the walkers and fitness enthusiasts this year and impress the rest with something special to use and admire.

They will be able to enjoy 313 metres of elevated boardwalk pathway, comprising multiple entry points, concrete paving that transitions into a beautifully polished casa deck from Outdure, and a 2.2-metre-wide decking for those travelling on its path.

Homeowners can expect to be surrounded by lush vegetation on their walks, including native gum trees and species including blackbutt, bloodwood, and melaleuca. Green thumbs will also love spotting the subtropical rainforest vegetation such as palm trees, ferns and grey mangroves that line the creek banks.

GemLife Palmwoods Sales Manager, Liz Millroy, is excited for the new boardwalk to be opening soon and said it is more like a skywalk than a boardwalk, with some sections suspended as high as four to five metres into the air.

“The walk is going to be absolutely amazing really, because basically you are up in the treetops level that goes right around the border of Paynter Creek,” Liz said.

“It’s going to be a beautiful walk for the residents and their guests, as it will give them the opportunity to have lovely, relaxing strolls around the resort, while they experience nature’s best.”

Nothing has been left out in the design of this stunning piece of architecture, including fine details such as handrails and balustrades having an aluminium powder coated finish, and top rails hot dipped and galvanised.

GemLife Palmwoods Sales Consultant, Leisa Parsons-Young, is equally excited and said the boardwalk, with its many special features, was sure to become a focal point at the resort.

“It has five separate entry points where people can enter the boardwalk, so it will be very handy for residents to be able to access it from different areas and meet up,” Leisa said.

“Residents will be able to enjoy around a half hour walk along the treetops, while soaking up the vegetation and wildlife it provides.”

The community can expect to hear the pitter patter of walking feet trekking along the new boardwalk soon, and once it officially opens for use, residents will be able to start enjoying the ambience of Palmwoods’ very own, private skywalk.
