A CAMPING HOLIDAY IN AN EXPLORE BY GEMLIFE MOTORHOME AT SPRING CREEK, NEAR ALLORA, SOUTH OF TOOWOOMBA, PROVED THE IDEAL WAY TO CELEBRATE A 65TH BIRTHDAY FOR GEMLIFE BRIBIE ISLAND HOMEOWNER JAN BROWN.
“We usually take our caravan on our camping trips, but it was a special birthday and I felt like being spoiled so Graeme and I booked GemLife’s luxury RV for three days, and it was fabulous,” said Jan.
Jan’s family are big on birthdays and make it a bi-yearly event to get together.
“My two sisters have birthdays in August/September and my brother and I were born in November so we all, including our partners, get together on camping trips to celebrate twice a year.”
Each year sees them at a different destination with all opting for the peace and tranquility of Spring Creek in the picturesque Darling Downs for Jan’s birthday milestone. While the others camped in caravans and rooftop tents, Jan and Graeme made a grand entrance in the highly recognisable GemLife RV.
“We wanted to surprise our family so told them we would be camping in a tent, and then arrived in the GemLife motorhome – they couldn’t believe their eyes when we drove up and had to look twice to make sure it was us! We certainly made a striking entrance,” laughed Jan, a former real estate agent with a passion for photography.
Jan, who also owns a brightly coloured `hippy’ van that she often takes on short trips away, is used to standing out in a crowd, something that also came easily in the Explore by GemLife motorhome. Not only did the RV attract attention, but it was also easy to drive and came with many push-button conveniences, much to the delight of the adventurous couple.
“We loved every moment in the GemLife motorhome. So much so that we would love to hire it again, maybe for a few weeks next time because it is certainly luxury on wheels!” said Jan.
