GemLife Gold Coast is set to be a great base for residents who have grandchildren. This fabulous location is surrounded by many wonderful, fun-filled attractions to keep much-loved grandchildren of all ages occupied and entertained for hours.

As the nation celebrates National Grandparents Day, which is held on 31 October, we look at some of the fabulous range of fun things to do with grandchildren on the Gold Coast.

Currumbin Valley Surf School

Beaches are always a huge favourite with kids, especially if they want to surf the waves. This surf school has an excellent beginner-friendly location and offers lessons for people of all ages and skill levels.

Broadwater Parklands

Located on Marine Parade in Southport, opposite Australia Fair, the world-class Broadwater Parklands offer a huge range of outdoor activities to amuse every member of the family. Kids can play in the mini water park, jump on the giant bouncing pillow or swim out to the floating play pontoon. There are also loads of free barbecue areas and shady spots for a picnic.

Wet’n’Wild

Get wet and get wild. Little kids will love the Junior Zone, which includes mini thrill rides, eight slides and a giant tipping bucket. The whole family can enjoy a fab finish to the day by cruising around Calypso Beach, the park’s lazy river.

Dreamworld and WhiteWater World

Little ones can join Dorothy the Dinosaur and friends for The Wiggles World song and dance show before having a splash at Wiggle Bay and the Pipeline Plunge. Dreamworld also has many great rides while WhiteWater World offers some top water slides.

Sea World

Animal adventures for all ages await visitors to Sea World. Attractions include the latest Polar Bear Shores where you can see polar bears up close.

Warner Bros. Movie World

Meet your favourite superheroes and stars, watch the spectacular shows or experience Kids’ WB! Fun Zone or adrenaline-pumping rides at Warner Bros. Movie World.
