Homeowners to ignite the torch of friendly competition
A SPECIAL EVENT IS COMING TO GEMLIFE IN SEPTEMBER.
Forget the footy finals. We’ve got something special to put in your sporting diary this September – the inaugural GemLife Games!
The first-ever one-day inter-resort competition will be held on Friday, 8 September and is open to resort homeowners as both participants and spectators.
“At GemLife, we encourage our homeowners to live life to the full,” said GemLife Director and CEO Adrian Puljich.
“We’ve heard so many stories over the years of residents returning to favourite sports, or trying new sports for the first time once they moved into their GemLife home. So, in the spirit of competition and camaraderie, we’re thrilled to announce the first-ever GemLife Games.”
Hosted at GemLife Maroochy Quays on the Sunshine Coast, the GemLife Games invites competitors and their supporters from our resorts on Bribie Island, Highfields, Pacific Paradise, Palmwoods, and Woodend.
Each resort will be conducting heats throughout the year to field their best teams in September.
Competitors will take part in a round robin tournament of sports on the day, including tennis, pickleball, lawn bowls, ten-pin bowling, table tennis, pool and the golf simulator.
“While a little healthy competition is good for us, the most important part of the GemLife Games is having fun,” said Adrian.
“We’ve seen many wonderful friendships form within GemLife communities, so we’re delighted to offer this opportunity to encourage camaraderie between resorts too.”
The GemLife Games will be fully catered on the day with a sausage sizzle, a coffee van and GemLife Chef Matt Conquest preparing lunch for both competitors and spectators.
Are you a hospitality champion?
