A RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION COMPOUND WILL BE SET UP AT GEMLIFE TWEED WATERS THIS MONTH, AHEAD OF THE MUCH ANTICIPATED START OF HOME BUILDING AT THE BOUTIQUE OVER-50S RESORT.
Residential construction compound to be set up at GemLife Tweed Waters Building equipment will be mobilised on site in February in a designated compound area in preparation of receiving an Approval to Operate from the Tweed Shire Council, which should be issued soon.
GemLife Director and CEO Adrian Puljich said with civil works fully completed, the residential construction team was champing at the bit to begin building the resort’s first homes.
“With the residential construction team gearing up on site, we’ll be ready to hit the ground running as soon as Council gives us the green-light,” said Adrian.
“We cannot wait to begin and welcome the resort’s first cohort of homeowners to their brand-new homes,” said Adrian.
“After many frustrating delays, we’re looking forward to delivering our future residents the top-notch, quality homes we are known for as soon as possible,” he said.
Set in a premium position with direct waterway access, the resort – GemLife’s first in NSW’s popular Northern Rivers Region – will feature just under 100 homes and a modern waterfront country club with an extensive array of premium fitness and leisure facilities.
The resort’s architecturally designed two-storey Country Club will feature a sleek, coastal look with references to southern Californian mid-century modernism. Incorporating a coastal material palette including stone and louvred feature walls, in addition to interesting use of timber, the club wraps around the waterfront to maximise a north-east aspect.
Facilities in and around the Country Club include an outdoor yoga studio, bar and cafe, gym studio, outdoor lounge areas, fire pits, barbecue facilities, cinema, a creative arts space and much more.
