WITH DUX LAKE BEING ONE OF GEMLIFE BRIBIE ISLAND’S MOST STUNNING LANDMARKS, IT HAS BECOME A MAGNET FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS.

No wonder it attracts the eye for those seeking a photo opportunity and residents Beverley Sundstrom, Judy Moore and Marshall Cass share magical moments they have snapped from the local area.

An ecologically friendly design, originally created for flood mitigation using the power of plants, the resort’s lake is now home to a wide range of bird species and, in the surrounds, an occasional wallaby.

Dux Lake’s floating wetlands also feature hundreds of species of plants native to the region, with Bribie’s overall plant species status currently standing at 736 and bird species at 350.

Not only has the area become very popular with wildlife enthusiasts, but as these four photos show below, it is also becoming a popular photography spot for Gemlife Bribie Island residents.

If you haven’t taken a stroll to see it lately, take the time to admire the raw, natural beauty of nature that’s right on your doorstep.
