Naturally inspired - Homes in harmony with nature at Moreton Bay

INSPIRED BY THE BEAUTY OF THE UNMATCHED NATURAL ENVIRONMENT AT GEMLIFE MORETON BAY, THE HOME DESIGNS AT THE SOON-TO-BE RELEASED RESORT WILL CREATE A SENSE OF CONNECTION WITH THE LANDSCAPE.

GemLife Director and CEO Adrian Puljich said the design team had been tasked with bringing a unique aesthetic to the homes on offer, drawing from the distinctive ecological features of the picturesque surroundings.

“One of the most striking aspects of the resort will be the harmonious integration of green spaces throughout the entire residential component of the development. This means that all homes will have no rear neighbours – a first for GemLife,” he said.

“Our team is working hard behind the scenes to create designs that are truly unique and integrate beautifully with the environment.”

In addition to a range of standard designer home styles, GemLife Moreton Bay will also feature several home designs tailored to maximise waterfront or bushland aspects.

“From exclusive waterfront positions to premium sites backing onto picturesque green spaces and nature zones, there will be a suite of home design options created to make the most of their settings,” Adrian said.

As beautiful as they are functional and featuring a palette of natural materials and colour schemes, GemLife Moreton Bay’s energy-efficient open-plan homes provide the ultimate in indooroutdoor living.

GemLife Manager of Interior Design Jennifer Kyle said the look and feel of the homes would be expressed through the use of materials in organic tones and textures with colour schemes that harmonised earth-based neutrals alongside natural hues of greens.

“The local landscape will set the stage for the design direction, with the team influenced by the site’s natural flora and waterscapes,” she said.

“The homes will feature different finishes on the exteriors with a mixture of painted and timberlook cladding plus use of stone, together with interesting roof lines that blend beautifully with the resort’s environment.”

Just as in nature, beauty and function will combine in each build. GemLife Moreton Bay’s energy-efficient and open-plan home designs flow effortlessly between indoors and out, embracing the balmy Queensland climate and scenic surrounds.

The homes are designed to maximise their waterfront or bushland aspects, as well as energy efficiency. Built with high-end, low-maintenance living in mind, GemLife Moreton Bay will offer a selection of two-bedroom plus multipurpose room homes with a choice of colour scheme and facade options. Full details will be available late in the third quarter.

Sustainability

GemLife Moreton Bay homes will be 7-star energy rated with construction featuring design and material choices that optimise energy efficiency.

Adrian said 7-star energy rated homes ultimately ensured homeowners’ costs were reduced.

“By starting with the position of the homes and building for the local subtropical climate – allowing for appropriate shade and solar access – a home’s thermal performance is immediately enhanced,” he said.

“Add to that appropriate cross-ventilation, insulation and colour choices – all these elements help create a residence with sustainable living at its heart.”
