In the driver’s seat – Explore by GemLife customer service levels up

THE EXPLORE BY GEMLIFE MOTORHOME EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN ENHANCED AND STREAMLINED WITH THE ARRIVAL OF NEW EXPLORE BY GEMLIFE COORDINATOR ANDREW DOVER.

Based at the state-of-the-art RV storage compound in Caboolture, which hosts 130 bays for GemLife homeowners’ caravans, motorhomes, boats, and other recreational vehicles, as well as being a pick-up and drop-off point for Explore by GemLife RVs, Andrew has embraced his new role with gusto.

“I’m loving it. Explore by GemLife is a brilliant concept, and it is such a great feeling to be able to help GemLife residents take their on-road travel experiences to the next level in one of our terrific RVs,” said Andrew.

Having a background as an auto electrician working on everything from cars and trucks to motorhomes, and eventually moving into other areas of the automotive industry including customer service and quality assurance, Andrew’s new role has put him in the driver’s seat to assist GemLife travellers. This includes everything from bookings and payments to personalised induction sessions, as well as keeping the vehicles well maintained.

“It’s important that residents know how to work everything so once they have read the overview online, I take the time to show them how to operate the motorhome and answer any of their questions at a personal induction.”
Andrew is also the `guy on the other end of the phone’ should Explore RV hirers need any help while on the road.

“There is nothing more reassuring for residents than to know that there is someone they can call in their hour of need. It might only be a small thing but if it’s causing them to worry and I can offer a quick solution, then I’m happy to go that extra mile to help.”

Married to wife Angela for 21 years and having an adult son – both of whom are keen travellers – Andrew says he can’t believe the great, cost-effective option that Explore by GemLife motorhomes offer residents.

“Our family has previously paid more than double the hire cost GemLife homeowners pay to hire a motorhome, and the RVs haven’t been anywhere near the quality. It’s also a great option for people who like to head out on the open road two or three times a year but don’t want all the maintenance, upkeep and storage costs associated with owning one of their own,” said Andrew, who is a keen camper.

Not surprisingly, one of Andrew’s future goals is to experience Australia’s vast natural beauty.

“I might have to move into a GemLife over-50s lifestyle resort and hire an Explore by GemLife motorhome. Couldn’t think of a better way to see this fabulous country!”
