Fingal Head Lighthouse

The Fingal Head Lighthouse, erected in 1872, is located at Lighthouse Parade, Fingal Head and is free to view. It is made of stone and has a fixed white light of 1000 candelas. Although the lighthouse is not tall – it’s only seven metres high – its location on a headland at one of the most easterly points of Australia makes it an important beacon. The lighthouse can be reached with a short walk through remnant coastal rainforest to the headland but the tower itself is closed to the public.
