Who doesn’t love to bake and eat delicious homemade treats? With the official event taking place on Thursday, 25 May, there’s still time to get together with friends to organise your own fundraising event to raise vital funds to help Cancer Council Australia’s goal for a cancer-free future.
SOME IDEAS ON HOW TO GET EVERYONE INVOLVED!
- Organise a street fete with your fellow neighbours.
- Have a bake off between streets to see which street raises the most funds.
- Hold a food judging competition between bakers with gold coin donations for the opportunity to try a piece and have their vote counted.
- Auction off the winning treats to the highest bidders.
It’s that simple and the possibilities are endless, so spread the word (along with the icing) and participate in some friendly competition between neighbours and friends, while fundraising together for such an important cause.
