GEMLIFE BRIBIE ISLAND’S GEMSTONE DANCERS AND THE SIZZLE & STOMP PERFORMERS BRING THE HOUSE DOWN EACH TIME THEY PUT ON A SHOW.
Guided by resident dancer Patricia Varga who’s been running the performances since 2019, the Gemstone Dancers comprise a group of 14 women, while Sizzle & Stomp includes seven women and six men.
Patricia says the groups have many talents.
“We dance various genres, preferring to mix it up rather than just sticking to one style,” she says. “Our performances to date have ranged from cabaret to light-humour, all the way to classic, old time and smooth waltz.”
The two groups have added performances to their resume, such as You Can Leave Your Hat On, In the Mood, and Candy Man, plus a comedy act called Human, a Mid-Year Celebration Waltz, a Balkan Gypsy Dance and most recently, two performances called Stand by Me and Cry to Me.
