GemLife is switching it up for the 2024 Cancer Council Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
Returning is the popular slice drive with two tempting treats from GemLife Chef Matt Conquest and new for 2024 is a challenge for all GemLife resorts!
“We’re encouraging all our resorts to hold their own fundraising morning tea to support this fantastic cause,” said GemLife Director and CEO Adrian Puljich.
“Not only is it a great way to connect with neighbours, and perhaps share support and encouragement with those who are undergoing their own fight against cancer, but participants can also go in the running to win $500 for their resort’s social committee.”
About the contest
Setting up your event is easy. Just head to biggestmorningtea.com.au/early-reg-2024 and register your event. Your Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser must take place between 1 May and 23 May to qualify for the competition.
Once you submit your funds, send an email to [email protected] to confirm your deposit (don’t forget to include the name of your GemLife resort group).
Alternatively, deposit direct and add your GemLife resort group name using the QR code.
Red velvet chocolate brownies
These brownies are a lovely mix of fudgy and cakey. With a red velvet meringue crust, these are best served at room temperature with your favourite cuppa or can be heated to enjoy with your favourite ice cream and white chocolate sauce.
Strawberry and lemon slices
Matt’s strawberry and lemon slice is a pleasant blend of sweet and sour. They have a lovely, sweet berry flavour with a light citrus taste, and lemon frosting. Best served at room temp with a lemon butter or curd, or a lightly whipped vanilla or citrus cream.
How to order your slices
The GemLife Biggest Morning Tea Slice Drive has three options:
- Box of 4 strawberry and lemon slices
- Box of 4 red velvet chocolate brownies
- Duo box of 2 strawberry and lemon slices and 2 red velvet chocolate brownies.
