GEMLIFE GOLD COAST’S STUNNING FUTURE COUNTRY CLUB HAS BEEN ARCHITECTURALLY DESIGNED BY THE RENOWNED LOCAL ARCHITECTURAL FIRM, JARED POOLE DESIGN.
With a brief to take over-50s living to the next level, architect and director of Jared Poole Design, Jared Poole, said the scale of the project was beyond anything the company had previously designed for GemLife.
“The country club is positioned on the best location on this site. It’s spread over three levels – about 7000 square metres in total – and the views from the top levels of the building will be incredible,” said Jared.
“The architectural theme has a contemporary overtone, but it also references classical elements with the addition of arches and colonnades,” he said.
“Our brief was to create a premium high-street village feel and sense of community. The pinnacle is undoubtably the rooftop entertaining space, which will be a place for residents to relax or socialise while taking in panoramic views from North Stradbroke to Burleigh.
“On the top level, because of the position and the outlook, there was the opportunity to include a sky bar. We wanted to create a circular element to the building that almost cantilevered off the side, so it really felt like it was on the edge of the building.”
From the sky bar, Jared said the building would open to a roof terrace with a resort-style pool with sunken lounges and fire pits.
“It will be stunning visually but will also have nice sound and movement of water – all the elements you’d expect in a resort environment.”
Jared added that the interior design of the clubhouse would have an exclusive resort feel.
“As soon as you come into the front entrance you’ve got the grandeur and the scale of the entry foyer and the finishes and the spaces that come off that foyer are high-class,” he said.
“It’s been an exciting design project. I think GemLife homeowners will be very happy with the lifestyle and the facilities that have been created.”
Other facilities at the country club will include a fitness centre, ten-pin bowling, cinema, indoor pool and spa, sauna, library, golf simulator, hair salon, and much more.
