Ann and Jeff Carson have been keeping an eye on the progress of GemLife Moreton Bay for quite some time. The Sunshine Coast residents currently live on a larger property and the move to a GemLife community is part of their plan to maximise their lifestyle.
“We have children and grandchildren who live in Brisbane, so this brings us so much closer,” said Ann.
For Jeff, everything about GemLife Moreton Bay ticked all the boxes.
“The homes are much larger than the apartments we were considering, and the fact that our new home will back onto parkland is important to us, as well as knowing our dog is also welcome,” he said.
The couple are delighted by the security of a gated community – especially as they are keen travellers.
“While we wait for our new home to be built, we’ve made plans to take a month-long holiday to Italy,” said Jeff.
Another new contract holder, Nicola Simonds, is also looking forward to moving into her GemLife Moreton Bay home with husband Scott. Before they made their decision to purchase, they also had another special consideration, Nicola’s 96-year-old mum.
“We appreciated how well thought out the home designs are,” said Nicola. “The floor plan we chose means mum can have her own bedroom, bathroom and use the multipurpose room as her own sitting room, while my husband and I have our own private space.”
The resort’s unique design that ensures every home has no rear neighbours was of special appeal.
“We know people who live at GemLife Bribie Island and GemLife Palmwoods and we’ve always been impressed by the quality of the homes and the facilities, and to be living at the edge of the Deception Bay Conservation Area, with so much nature around us, is something we’re very much looking forward to.”
