A touch of the Mediterranean - Rainbow Beach Country Club interiors preview

GEMLIFE RAINBOW BEACH’S STUNNING STATE-OF-THE-ART COUNTRY CLUB WILL BE LIKE NOTHING ELSE ON THE NSW MID NORTH COAST. WITH THE FINISHING TOUCHES BEING MADE ON THIS STYLISH COMMUNITY FACILITY, WE TAKE A SNEAK PEEK AT THE MEDITERRANEAN HOLIDAY-INSPIRED INTERIORS AHEAD OF ITS OFFICIAL OPENING.

Now in its final stages of construction, the modern two-level $10.5 million GemLife Rainbow Beach Country Club will transport homeowners into a blissful oasis that draws inspiration from the coastal regions of southern Europe.

GemLife Manager of Interior Design Jennifer Kyle said the look and feel of the Country Club’s interiors would be quite different from other GemLife country clubs, featuring warm, earthy tones, textured surfaces, and natural materials like stone and wood together with the use of signature arches and vibrant blue and yellow accents to evoke the charm of the Mediterranean.

“Although the interiors are contemporary, by infusing these elements into the design, we create a relaxed, inviting, and timeless atmosphere that will feel like being on holiday all year long. It will have an indoor-outdoor vibe that is light, airy and fun,” she said.

A favourite of the design team is a large, limited-edition print by award-winning Australian artist Alissa Wright called Lunch at Ravello, a painting that captures the buzz of central plazas and ancient paths in coastal southern Italy with its hidden courtyards lined with lemon and olive trees.

“As one of only 50 prints, this piece will be the first thing people see when they enter the foyer. It beautifully captures the spirit and essence of the country club’s interiors,” said Jennifer.

Other team favourites include custom-designed carpets with rich navy tones and sparkling yellows, interesting wallpapers, and rustic two-tone travertine-style floor tiles.

“We designed a fabulous carpet pattern inspired by hand-painted Mediterranean tiles – which will be used in the dining hall and meeting room areas – and have taken elements from that into the design of another carpet which will appear in the games room,” Jennifer said.

“In addition to a vibrant and personality-filled wallpaper with China blues and canary yellows, which will adorn the bowling alley, we also have a wonderful handmade grass-weave wallpaper in neutral tones which has lots of texture and organic appeal.”

Jennifer said the fireplace area in the lounge was another standout with checkerboard navy and white tiles that had been meticulously crafted to give a handmade look which gives each individual tile character.

“Homeowners will see lots of patterns, textures, exciting fabrics, as well as a lot of woven-style furniture such as cane and rattan, giving the interiors a lightness of touch. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows will bathe the interior spaces with plenty of natural light, adding to the effect,” she said.

“We want to create a relaxed, calming environment that plays off the resort’s beautiful location in one of the best spots on the Mid North Coast. I can’t wait for homeowners to experience the space.”
