GemLife Twin Fin shreds the waves old-school style

The GemLife Twin Fin made its spectacular debut at the 2021 Noosa Festival of Surfing last month, featuring a field of surfers competing on old-school twin fin surfboards, including Layne Beachley ao, regarded as the most successful female surfer in history.

The inaugural event showcased pre-1980 boards and some incredible surfing, with Byron Bay surfer Kyuss King taking the title, followed by Peregian Beach’s Noah Stocca in second, and Cooper Davis from Noosa Heads in third on a mild autumn day in beautiful Noosa.

Twin fin surfboards, which were the pinnacle of surf design in the 70s and 80s, have in recent years been making a comeback and are valued for their turning capabilities, tight arcs, and classic retro style.
