Well, it has been an extraordinary month of contrasts here on the Mid North Coast.
We started last month with a bang with our official launch event on 3 March. It was an outstanding evening, with GemLife Director & CEO Adrian Puljich and the entire team joining us to meet some of the locals together with the many interested parties looking at making GemLife Rainbow Beach their new home.
Later in the month, the entire region was hit by extreme wet weather, causing widespread flooding. I’d like to thank all the emergency services personnel who worked so tirelessly on behalf of the community during this difficult time, and for their continuing role in helping the region get back to normal.
We were fortunate that the GemLife Rainbow Beach site remained during the severe weather and the sales office was open for business as usual. We are looking forward to construction beginning on the new, permanent sales office in April. This will give us plenty of room to showcase the quality fixtures and fittings that GemLife’s high-quality homes offer as standard.
The GemLife team has been busy locking in plans for the first of our display homes for Stage One – watch this space for details!
With all the perimeter fencing and flag poles in place around the site, there is a real buzz around town with people keenly watching the GemLife Rainbow Beach development take shape.
At this time of year, Lake Cathie, the second largest estuarine lake in Australia, is open to the sea and the mouth of the tidal lake is just spectacular. It is the perfect swimming and recreational spot for the whole family to enjoy.
Nearby the site, on the other side of Ocean Drive, civil works for the new town centre have commenced and the permanent access to the new primary school is now open which is exciting for the local community.
