GemLife generosity 2023 - How our communities are making a difference

2023 WAS A STANDOUT YEAR WITH HUNDREDS OF GEMLIFE STAFF AND HOMEOWNERS PUTTING THEIR BEST FOOT FORWARD FOR CHARITY.

Whether it was taking part in fun runs, growing a moustache, driving miles in the Outback or enjoying delicious fundraising treats, it was local and national charities who were the real winners.

GemLife jumped onboard two major causes last year.

Movember had GemLife staff raise money for the men’s health charity.

And in October, GemLife signed a three-year partnership with LifeChanger, the youth mental health foundation dedicated to empowering young people to lead fulfilling lives by nurturing their social, emotional and resilience skills as well as fostering strong community connections.

A number of GemLife staff members have volunteered to be mentors and this coming year an invitation will be extended to our GemLife residents and contract holders to share their considerable life experience as mentors.

In 2023, the extended GemLife community dug deep to support many worthy causes in a variety of ways, including:

  • Cancer Council Australia (Biggest Morning Tea)
  • Australian Red Cross
  • Rural Aid
  • Drought Angels (Long Drive for Drought)
  • The Daniel Morecombe Foundation (Walk for Daniel)
  • Australian Koala Foundation
  • The Smith Family
  • Gold Coast Running Festival
  • Sunshine Coast Marathon and Community Run Festival
  • Woodend Neighbourhood House Food Bank Appeal
  • Run the Rock
  • Movember
  • Noosa Breakfast Run (National Breast Cancer Foundation)

GemLife also proudly sponsored numerous organisations and community events throughout the year:

  • LifeChanger
  • Noosa Festival of Surfing
  • Queensland’s Rotary Ride the Range
  • Australian Pickleball Championships
  • Spencey’s Charity Corporate

Golf Day for Dementia Australia GemLife Director and CEO Adrian Puljich said GemLife and its homeowners have earned a reputation for being big-hearted and generous.

“And the fundraising success of 2023 is proof of what we can do together as a community,” he said.

“I couldn’t be more proud, and I know we will be doing more great things in 2024.”
