JOIN THOUSANDS OF SUNSHINE COAST LOCALS FOR THE 18TH ANNUAL WALK FOR DANIEL ON FRIDAY, 28 OCTOBER TO HONOUR THE LEGACY OF DANIEL MORCOMBE, A 13-YEAR-OLD PALMWOODS BOY WHO BECAME A VICTIM OF CRIME IN A CASE THAT CAPTURED THE ENTIRE NATION’S ATTENTION.

Part of the Daniel Morcombe Foundation’s Day for Daniel, a national day of action for child safety, the 4km walk follows the same path Daniel walked from Palmwoods to Nambour Connection Road in Woombye, where he waited for the bus to the Sunshine Plaza before being abducted. It symbolises a trip home Daniel was not able to complete.

Participants wear red (the colour worn by Daniel the day he went missing) and walk in solidarity to raise awareness of child safety.

The Daniel Morcombe Foundation was established to make Australia a safer place for kids through child safety education for children and young people to prevent abuse and promote lifelong health and wellbeing. For more information visit danielmorcombe.com.au/
