It’s time to grab your “Red Red Wine” and celebrate, because boy do we have some good news and “Food For Thought” for you…
UB40 are coming to Bribie Island!
Get Out Your Diary
In a show that promises to be a “Sweet Sensation”, UB40 will be performing at the Sandstone Point Hotel on Sunday 15 January 2017 as part of their Australian tour.
With no need to travel to Brisbane or even further afield to see these reggae-pop icons, there won’t be “Many Rivers to Cross”. Instead, you can appreciate this “Labour of Love” close to home at their Bribie Island concert, which has an advertised start time of 2:00 pm.
It’s an experience that promises to delight long-time and first-time fans with “Music So Nice”. The show will feature three of the original UB40 members, with front-man Ali Cambell joined by founding members Astro and Mickie Virtue – a key reason you’ll want to be certain you “Don’t Let it Pass You By”.
The recently-reunited trio will be joined by other familiar faces – all of whom would probably encourage you to “Forget the Cost”. But seeing as tickets start at $86 (and under-12s can attend for free), cost isn’t nearly as prohibitive as it could be. If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to introduce the kids or grandkids to UB40, now’s the time to do it.
Getting on the Map
Bribie Island has long been “on the map” as a sought-after location and holiday destination. But if UB40’s upcoming concert tells us anything, it’s that Bribie Island is now getting “on the map” in an even bigger way, attracting quality, international acts you can enjoy close to home.
Don’t Let it Pass You By
As is the case with any popular act, it’s only a “Matter of Time” before tickets will sell out.
So if you want to hear the “Singerman” and other band members perform some of their greatest hits, don’t delay.
Tickets can be purchased at Sandstone Point Hotel itself, or via Ticketek or Bluesfest Touring.
