Kerrie and Livio Piva moved into GemLife Bribie Island in October 2018 and could not be happier.
Having made the decision to move from their home in Buderim, they visited many over 50s communities before finding GemLife Bribie Island.
“We fell in love with it instantly,” said Kerrie. “We looked at so many places but none of them compared to GemLife. The build quality and finishings, the spacious layout and the facilities around the Resort were perfect for us.”
In fact, they made a decision to purchase the display home they fell in love with, rather than wait to build a new home.
“Livio has Parkinsons and has a treatment booked for February this year, so we wanted to move in quickly and be settled well before his procedure,” said Kerrie. “The display home was exactly the design we wanted, so we bought it!”
Kerrie and Livio donated a special gift to GemLife when they moved in – an Australian flag from the Sydney Olympics and the 10m flag pole with it.
“We had it on display outside our business in Buderim and decided to bring it with us,” said Kerrie. “It’s a little piece of our history and we were very happy to give it to GemLife.”
Like all the residents at Bribie Island, the Pivas are very excited about the completion of the Country Club and the amazing facilities they can enjoy.
“The gym and heated pool will be great for both of us,” said Kerrie. “We both want to keep active and it will be perfect for Livio’s rehabilitation and exercises. Plus as a welder, Livio is keen to get involved in the workshop, and I am looking forward to starting a Ten Pin Bowling team!”
