Welcome to the October issue of The Gem. With grandparents day coming up at the end of the month, in this issue we celebrate the special bond between grandparents and grandchildren.
In addition to sharing stories from residents about the joys of grandparenting, we are also running our third annual Grandparents Day Awards, a great opportunity for GemLife grandkids to nominate their ‘grandies’ for a chance to win an Ultimate Family Experience package (see page 27 for details).
Last month, we saw our very first travellers hit the road in the new Explore by GemLife motorhomes. Needless to say, there was much excitement about the adventures ahead. Turn to page 10 to find out more.
On the Sunshine Coast we had an incredible turn-out for the grand opening of the GemLife Maroochy Quays Country Club, as well as the first public reveal of the Explore by GemLife motorhomes. More than 350 people attended and were wowed by the facilities on offer at this popular resort. See page 8 for details.
In the Sunshine Coast hinterland at our GemLife Palmwoods site, we hit an exciting milestone with the residential construction team pouring the first slabs for the resort’s homes last month. Work on the entry statement also began. Next month, the civil engineering team will commence work on the timber boardwalk which will be a standout feature. It’s great to see our first hinterland resort come together and I look forward to sharing updates in future issues of The Gem.
On the Gold Coast, our civil engineering team will begin bulk earthworks next month, kicking off the first stage of construction at our flagship resort. Work on the state-of-the-art GemLife Gold Coast Sales Experience Centre is moving ahead quickly and we cannot wait to officially launch this superb new centre in November. Stay tuned for details in next month’s magazine.
At GemLife Highfields, our picturesque rural resort near Toowoomba, the team looks forward to welcoming guests to the GemLife Highfields Country Living Open Day on Saturday, 16 October. Attendees will be able to tour new display homes, check out the resort’s big, oversized blocks, and walk through the award-winning country club (for more information see page 36).
In northern NSW, civil works continue to progress well at GemLife Tweed Waters. As expected, this beautiful boutique resort is nearly sold out and will offer an extraordinary lifestyle in one of Australia’s most sought-after regions.
Further south, on the Mid North Coast of NSW, construction has been rapidly powering ahead at GemLife Rainbow Beach in coastal Lake Cathie. The frame, roof, and windows of the new, permanent sales office are now in place and we’re tracking well for end of year completion. Stage Two, which was launched ahead of schedule last month, is attracting strong interest and sales. In a region known for its spectacular natural beauty, it’s no surprise that this resort is proving so popular with over-50s home buyers.
