Welcome to the July issue of the gem. With friendship day taking place on 30 July, this month’s newsletter focuses on friendship, something that our resorts are designed to support and grow.
The importance of having a strong network of friends around you cannot be overestimated. Scientists have even proven a direct link to longer life expectancy, better health, and of course, higher happiness levels. I have seen many new friendships form and grow at our resorts over the past four years and it never fails to put a smile on my face – friends and family is what life is all about!
It’s hard to believe that we have reached the last stage of development at four of our resorts, with final stage releases at Maroochydore and Pacific Paradise on the Sunshine Coast and Woodend in Victoria, in addition to the sale of GemLife Bribie Island’s very last homes.
At GemLife Woodend buyer demand has been so strong on the heels of our successful open day and official country club opening, that the final stage of the resort is being built out and next month we are holding a special expressions of interest event for the resort’s last stage sites and homes (see page 46 for details).
On the Sunshine Coast, the final stage release at GemLife Maroochy Quays is set to kick off at a lakeside marquee event on Thursday, 15 July (details on page 32). This stage has some stunning lakeside sites and home designs, among others, and sites will not last long at what has become one of our fastest selling resorts. The spectacular two-storey lakeside country club is now in its last stages of construction and residents had their first glimpse of the facilities at a sneak-peek tour last month (page 33).
Following planning approval for GemLife Pacific Paradise Stage Two, the final stage release of our premium Sunshine Coast resort is also taking place this month with an exclusive VIP event at the Twin Waters Golf Club on Thursday, 29 July (see page 34). The outdoor pool and recreation precinct and summer house is nearly ready, and it will not be long before residents can enjoy this terrific facility.
It has been full steam ahead with construction of the state-of-the-art GemLife Gold Coast Sales Experience Centre, with the building’s frame now completed, and the roof due to go up this month. The centre will offer a unique, fully immersive sales experience for prospective buyers and give them a taste of what’s to come. The team remains on schedule to commence bulk earthworks next month.
After a long delay, I am excited to announce that our GemLife Lennox Head resort has been given the go ahead (see opposite). The team is already busy working on the design documentation for our construction certificates and I look forward to providing a status update next month.
I am proud to share that GemLife, thanks to the generosity of residents, current and future, as well as employees, family, and friends, exceeded our fundraising target of $6000 by raising an impressive $7194 for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. What a fantastic effort and one which will help the Cancer Council reach its aim of a cancer-free future!
