GemLife has launched an exciting and innovative new travel initiative, Explore by GemLife, revealing its first fleet of strikingly designed upgraded motorhomes which will be available exclusively for resident hire.
GemLife Director & CEO Adrian Puljich said the new initiative recognised the importance of travel for the over-50s market, bringing a groundbreaking new offering to its growing number of lifestyle resorts.
“Travel is a huge passion for so many of our residents, it’s a big part of their lives. At GemLife we are always striving to innovate and bring something fresh to our home owners, and that was the spark for Explore by GemLife,” said Adrian.
Last month the fleet of Explore by GemLife motorhomes was unveiled for the first time to GemLife residents in Queensland, with Victoria’s launch to take place after restrictions ease. Each of the RV’s features stunning original artwork of iconic Australian landscapes commissioned especially for the project.
“The Explore motorhomes will be big attention-getters on the road – the artwork is superb and captures the diversity and beauty of Australia’s natural environment. The illustrations include scenes of Victoria’s famously stunning Great Ocean Road, Queensland’s Daintree Rainforest and Glass House Mountains, and the Northern Territory’s majestic Nitmiluk National Park,” said Adrian.
The luxurious Jayco Conquest DX motorhomes feature a spacious living layout with an electric slide-out for extra room, a comfortable double bed, full ensuite bathroom with separate shower, a well-equipped functional kitchen with gas cooktop, grill, oven, microwave, a washing machine, and plenty of storage space.
For extra comfort and luxury while travelling, GemLife has included a suite of upgrades to the motorhomes such as premium leather seats, water filter, barbecue, and for free camping enthusiasts, solar panels, a diesel heater and extra batteries. Other features include an electric awning for travellers to enjoy alfresco dining or entertaining, retractable picnic bench, premium entertainment systems including outdoor speakers for listening to music outside, and much more (see pages 8-11 for more details).
“Each GemLife resort will have its own Explore motorhome, which means residents can book a trip in the brand-new vehicles at any time for rates well below typical market prices, all without the burden of ownership,” Adrian said.
“A lot of our residents own motorhomes or caravans but find they’re not getting on the road as much as they expected. Others like the idea of owning their own RV but don’t know if they will use it enough to justify the purchase price and ongoing maintenance costs,” he said.
“Explore by GemLife solves that issue with each of our Queensland resorts and our Victorian resort having its own modern, upgraded luxury motorhome. Current and future residents can sell their existing motorhomes if they wish, knowing they’ll still be able to travel whenever they want by hiring an Explore vehicle.”
The Explore motorhomes will be available for residents to hire from 13 September.
