Our future Maroochy Quays residents rolled up their sleeves and got their hands nice and dirty earlier this week at our fun, creative Clay & Graze Pottery Class.
This popular class, held at the Pottery Studio in Nambour, taught nineteen of our budding potters how to craft their own hand-made pottery pieces from clay.
Under the experienced guidance of studio teacher, Gaby, our students created a range of decorative pieces, including mugs, vases, pen containers and more.
The pieces are carefully constructed to ensure they survive the kiln’s firing process after the pieces have dried,
Julie Anne Turner, Maroochy Sales Consultant, joined in the fun and said the class was a great way for future residents to meet and socialise in a relaxing, creative activity.
“Our future Maroochy Quays residents are an artistic lot! It was such an enjoyable afternoon. As well as learning how to work with clay, we also got to know each other and start building our community before moving in.” she said.
We look forward to seeing the final products!
