More than 60 current and future GemLife residents from Bribie Island, Maroochy Quays and Pacific Paradise joined thousands of participants for the GemLife Noosa Breakfast Fun Run this morning.
Banding together to raise awareness and money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, the GemLife team ran, jogged and walked along the stunning Noosa beachfront on yet another beautiful day on the Sunshine Coast.
Enthusiastic GemLife fun-runners (and walkers) covered the scenic five-kilometre course dressed in bright blue GemLife t-shirts and pink caps to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
GemLife Sales & Marketing Director, Andrew Coulter, said the day was a fantastic example of community spirit in action.
“The fun run was a marvellous event, it was great to see so many current and future residents from across different resorts get together for such a great cause,” he said.
Funds raised at the event will help bring the National Breast Cancer Foundation closer to achieving its inspirational goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.
Following the fun run, participants relaxed and refuelled over a delicious breakfast at Noosa Woods.
Adding to a host of fun on-the-ground activities available, GemLife set up a virtual reality experience at the event, giving people had the opportunity to explore Bribie Island’s award-winning country club.
Thanks to a virtual reality headset, people could roam the country club’s fabulous facilities, inside and out, while sitting in a comfortable chair 100 kilometres away from the real thing.
“The virtual reality was so realistic I was very impressed. I felt like I was exploring the real Bribie Island country club inside and out,” said one guest.
The GemLife Noosa Breakfast Fun Run was a great success and a fun, family-friendly event for all.
