December 2020 Director’s Message

GemLife

Another year has flown by and it is hard to believe we are already in the first month of summer with Christmas just around the corner.

2020 has been a huge year for GemLife with four new resorts added to our growing number of locations and construction powering ahead at sites around Australia. Despite the significant challenges of COVID-19, GemLife has made great strides forward and it has been tremendously rewarding to see our communities grow and flourish.

On the Sunshine Coast, GemLife Maroochy Quays’ stunning new Summer House opened last month. Residents are enjoying the fantastic resort-style swimming pool, pool house and barbecue facilities amongst others. The resort also had a hugely successful Summer-Living Open Day, with hundreds of people visiting to see the new split-level display homes and take a look at the Summer House. Work on the boardwalk is coming into the final stages and there was also excellent progress on the country club.

At GemLife Pacific Paradise construction on the outdoor pool and recreation precinct, the Paradise Pavilion, is well under way and remains on schedule for opening mid next year.

The GemLife Palmwoods team had its first sales event last month and it was terrific to see the strong interest this beautiful Sunshine Coast hinterland resort is attracting.

Earthworks have finished and construction has begun at GemLife Gold Coast’s state-of-the-art sales experience centre, and the team is looking forward to its opening next year.

At our picturesque rural resort in Highfields, Stage Five earthworks are continuing, and residential construction in stages three and four has commenced.

At our latest resort on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, GemLife Rainbow Beach, the team is gearing up for bulk earthworks to begin in early 2021. The resort is our first in this stunning part of the coast and I look forward to sharing updates in the New Year.

Last month at GemLife Woodend, our beautiful resort in the Macedon Ranges region in rural Victoria, we were thrilled to finally open the country club for residents – an exciting milestone for the community. Work on the resort’s outdoor recreational precinct, which includes a barbecue pavilion, bocce, petanque and pickleball courts, was completed. These outdoor facilities, along with the stunning lakeside country club, are sure to offer something for everyone to enjoy. The team made excellent headway on Stage Four civil works and we expect those to wrap up this month.

As we gear up for the end of the year, I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very happy Christmas and prosperous 2021.
