The inaugural GemLife Bribie Island Residents’ Information Expo was a huge success. The expo brought together over 20 local organisations who joined us in the country club ballroom to showcase their services and products exclusively for the benefit of Bribie Island.
Residents browsed vendors’ displays and attended presentations in the country club’s cinema and music room. They also enjoyed coffee and cake at the cafe and a tasty sausage sizzle.
The GemLife Bribie Island Community Committee was pleased by the residents’ turnout along with the quality and variety of exhibitors that participated in the expo.
A member of the Bribie Island GemLife Community Committee, Michelle Thomas, said the day was a fantastic success.
“Residents were really happy with the information on offer. They were amazed by the effort the exhibitors had gone to, especially with the presentations in the cinema and music room,” said Michelle.
Some of the vendors who attended included Thomas Travel, James Home Services and the Bribie Island Bowls Club. Residents’ were impressed by the range of exhibitors represented at the expo and enjoyed being able to talk to vendors to learn about their products and services in a casual and relaxed environment.
Residents also participated in a ‘passport competition’; which gave them the chance to win awesome prizes that were donated by the exhibitors. Several residents were lucky enough to win travel vouchers, massages, beautiful flower arrangements and pamper packs!
Exhibitors enjoyed meeting our lovely residents and were all very grateful to have the opportunity to share their organisations with our GemLife community.
“Due to the great success of our first residents’ information expo, we are delighted to announce that we will continue to run future expos! Our goal is to make them bigger and better for our GemLife community and vendors,” said Michelle.
“Residents have already approached me with ideas for the next expo including wine tastings local wine tours and caravan and camping equipment.”
