More than 20 of our GemLife Highfields residents – current and future – learned the 600-year-old Japanese art form of kokedama, a unique style of bonsai. Guided by teacher Rose Smit, attendees made two kokedamas (Japanese for ‘moss-ball’), a bonsai that uses moss to retain moisture and is then bound with string to create a sculptural plant.
To top off a fabulous day, two of our attendees, Highfields’ residents Les (left) and Eddie (right) celebrated their birthdays! Happy birthday Les and Eddie!
